The treatment of Brain Metastasis is a controversial issue. In order to determine the results of the treatment of these patients, a descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was carried out during the period: April 2010 to April 2013 at the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology. The universe was designated as the total number of patients with a diagnosis of Brain Metastases of known primary neoplasia treated in Neurosurgery consultation. Fischer's exact test and Kaplan Meier curves were used. A sample of 42 patients and a total of 84 lesions was obtained. The modalities used were: Holocranial Radiotherapy, Radiosurgery, Surgery plus Holocranial Radiotherapy and Surgery. Overall survival at 12 months was 57 percent. The combinations of Radiosurgery plus Holocranial Radiotherapy and Surgery plus Radiosurgery were associated with better local control. Longer survival was observed in patients with controlled primary disease and no extracranial disease. Surgery presented the highest number of complications.
